Ender Games Theme
I am currantly reading The Ender Games. This book takes place in the near or faraway future. In the start the story starts on earth but quickly moves to space. This where they go on a space station and start to fight like the Hunger Games but in space! You find out how they are in space by the part in the story where they get picked for the games. They are forced on a spaceship or rocket and sent up to the space station where they fight to the death till there is a winner. Why do you think they have the Ender Games in space? Whould you try to fight on your own or would you team up with other contestants?

Setting of Fahrenheit 451
Currently I started to read the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I have only read the first third of the book. This story takes place in a unnamed city but sounds like it might be something similar to modern day New York. This story takes place in the future very far, it takes place in the twenty fourth century. "He walked out of the fire station and along the midnight street toward the subway where the silent air propelled train slid soundlessly down its lubricated flue in the earth" (Pg 3). This tells you that it takes place in a city because only big cities have subways.

Final Blogger Reflection
This blog is my best example of reading skills in my book Seal of God. In my best blog post I clearly show how I analyzed the characters. I found that in this book that Chad becomes a stronger and more respectable. He progresses for a selfish and self centered guy into a guy who is humble through God. A big influence in his change as a character is his mentor who died before he went to Navy Seal training. He changes from a selfish, self centered, jerk into a humble, merciful, and forgivable person.
Some goals I have for next Trimester for reading is to read more books. I only read two books this trimester. Next trimester I will try to read around 5-6 books. I know it seems like a big jump for two to 6 but I think if I really try I will be able to reach my goal of 5-6. One goal I want to achieve in writing is to sit down one day and just free write for two full hours and see what I can create. I would love to see what I write in a two hours' time. One area I want to improve is to read more closely so I can soak up as much of the text as I can. One way I can try to achieve this is to read a little bit slower than I usually do. This way I can improve my understanding of the text. Finally one way I can improve my writing skills is to try to use more writing craft in my every day writing. For an example I could use more similes and metaphor. Also i could use writing brushstrokes which can help me to switch up how my writing sounds so it's not always the same.

Thoughts on Nike LeBron 11 "Multicolor" LeBron James PE
Today LeBron James had the 11/11 experience. This is a conference that Nike puts on to promote LeBrons New shoe. He was wearing a Multicolor PE of the LeBron 11's. It looked like they were sporting what looks like light blue, purple, black, yellow and atomic red on the upper in bold fashion. This reminds me of the "What the MVP" Lebron X last year. Why is Nike making such crazy colorways? I would rather them make simple but still colorful colorways like the Retro Jordan's. I hope they come out with simpler LeBron 11's.

I thought this article was inserting because I'm a Sneaker-head. Its really cool to learn about how people come up withe color ways and everything. I though this was a cool collection of shoes by Nike because it has so much colors on one sneaker. I would love to get my hands on a pair of one of those shoes.

Exit Slip: Tuesday, October 8
The tone of my book Seal of God is serious. This book needs to be serious because this is very real and it is not funny. The mood of my book is anger from the main character and courage also."Chad Williams punched the wall of raged because his mentor was man handled on live TV" (Williams 89). I the book Seal of God Chad gets his other "brothers" to believe in God and that God will make the right decision with your life. He was in a very loving compassionate tone because he didn't want to scare or anything like that.

Government Shut Down
This week as you my have hear of the Government shut down. I read an article about how it happened. It said that republicans in the Senate will not pass a budget so the government shut down. My Dad who works for the government got very mad when the government shut down because he cant work and will not get paid for this time. I think congress is not doing their job. We voted for them for a reason and that is represent us and they aren't doing that very well.

Redo
I am currently reading Seal of God. This book is very good so far he is in Seal training at the point I am in in the book. I think he is going to make it through Seal training because he mentor got killed in Afghanistan so he wants to avenge his death. Also I think i feeling that he will get caught up in a place like his mentor was in before his death. In this book this sounds like what happens in Iran and Afghanistan with the solders getting hit with ied's and bombs along the road. A text to text example i when his mentor told him about the Seal training and then he went off to it for real and it was just like how his mentor described it. Well one thing that i have in common with him is that he is having a hard time try to find himself in the world and I have some trouble with that during this time in my life. Why did he want to join the Navy Seal? How did he meet his trainer? Where in Afghanistan did they get ambushed? How many people survived other than him?

Pastries for the Homeless
This week I made some brownies. These brownies were very because i put melted fudge and icing on top of them. It was very good and I made two batches one for me and one for homeless people at the Red's game. I gave two brownies per person and they just lit up like a star and I can tell they very much enjoyed the brownies I took them. I hope more people get this kind of idea and does it them self. This is my opinion but it just made me feel go giving to the homeless .
Seal of God: Characters
In the Seal of God Chad becomes a stronger and more respectable guy through out the book. He doesn't make and friends that he describes very well. The only person that seems to be a big influence book was his mentor that got killed a couple weeks before he went to Navy Seal boot camp. This seems very strange to me that he doesn't talk about more people in his book. The only person that makes him change a lot is God. Chad doesn't acutely talk to God but he picks up the Bible and starts to read and study it. This makes him to come to a realization that he needs to trust God that has a plan for him and I the dies or lives he trusts that God will make the right decision. In the part he got stuck in an ambush like the one his mentor had died in he knew that God had a plan for him.

Life Lessons and God
In the book I am currently reading The Seal of God is really big on life lessons. In this book talks about how he over came all his things that happened in this time period of his life. He had a rough start with drugs alcohol and basically being a beach bum. He turn this around when he joined the Seals and while he was training and in combat he turned to God to have complete faith in him. He didn't care if he lived or died on the battle field because he knew that if he lived or died God would have a reason for it. This has so far taught me i doesn't matter what happens because God has a plan for everyone. If you don't have God in your life you should consider going to Christ Church of Mason You will probably enjoy it very much and i hope you do.

Seal of God Theme and Summary
The Theme of the Seal of God is about Chad which is the navy seal is confronted with the death of his friend that had trained him to become a Navy Seal . He try to avenge his friends death and ends up getting caught in the same situation as his friend was in. Along the way he learns that he cant trust in God that he will be safe and be able to go home and see his kids.
Seal of God
Currently I am reading Seal of God. This book is about Chad Williams and his road through his navy seal training. Right before his training he turned on the TV and saw the face of his mentor on the news saying he has been killed on a op in Iraq. This moment really compelled him to complete and go through the hardest arm forces training on the planet. The training goes on for 25 grueling weeks. Also in this book he is trying find him self as he is going through this hard time in his life. He must overcome hard decisions once he gets out of the seal training and out onto the open battle field. I recommend this book to someone with a Christian beliefs and who likes action and non-fiction.

Theme of The Final Four
The central theme of The Final Four is to overcome big
circumstances in your life. In my book
most of the characters tell there back story which much of the time involves
overcoming big thing s that have happened in their life. The main charter in
the book has a very tragic back story about his sister dying from a drive by
shooting. “He felt an earthquake of emotions building inside him the kind of
rumbling that could have brought the Brewster-Douglass Houses crashing down to
the ground. It was all Malcolm could do to hold on” (Voloni 55). The author uses metaphors to explain how
Malcolm is feeling Instead of just saying he was sad and depressed. This quote I
think clearly explains the theme of the story. I think this because this quote talks about how Malcolm's sister died which is a big think to overcome in his life and this is the main theme of the book.

The Article above is about how the basketball players over come big things in their lives.
