Ender's Reasoning

One of the most important lines of chapter 6 is "Human beings are free except when humanity needs them. Maybe humanity needs you. To do something. Maybe humanity needs me—to find out what you're good for. We might both do despicable things, Ender, but if humankind survives, then we were good tools." This quote is very important to the chapter because he is telling the reasons behind everything they are doing in the book. I consider that a very important part in chapter 6. Ender believes that people are more than just pawns on a chess board. He strongly believes that everyone and everything has a purpose even if it is small or big. What do you think this quote means? If you are reading or have read this book do you think something else?

The best thing about the Ender Games

One of the best books I have read this trimester is the Ender Games. One of the main reasons why I have choose this book is because of how it has one of the main ideas to the Hunger Games which I love. I  think one thing that I like about this book is how it takes place in space. The fact it takes place in spcae is really cool. Imagine the Hunger Games in space how cool would that be. I just dont know how that whould work though. It would be impossable to to shoot a bow and arrow becasue of no gravity. So in the Ender games they use guns where solves the problem. Again the space part of this book is the best part. Would you like to see this book made into a movie.

Ender Games

I am currently reading the Ender Games. This book is about a group of people forced to compete for there live but it takes place in space.  I believe that this will play out a little like the Hunger Games  I believe this because it seems similar in a way. I wonder if it will be the same as the Hunger Games  I want to know why this death match is happening  in space? One thing i think will happen is that there will be alliances made and the main character will be alone and be forced into hiding. Would you form or be apart of an alliance or run alone? I wonder why this book is named closely to the Hunger Games?

Ender Games Theme

I am currantly reading The Ender Games. This book takes place in the near or faraway future. In the start the story starts on earth but quickly moves to space. This where they go on a space station and start to fight like the Hunger Games but in space! You find out how they are in space by the part in the story where they get picked for the games. They are forced on a spaceship or rocket and sent up to the space station where they fight to the death till there is a winner. Why do you think they have the Ender Games in space? Whould you try to fight on your own or would you team up with other contestants?

Setting of Fahrenheit 451

Currently I started to read the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I have only read the first third of the book. This story takes place in a unnamed city but sounds like it might be something similar to modern day New York. This story takes place in the future very far, it takes place in the twenty fourth century. "He walked out of the fire station and along the midnight street toward the subway where the silent air propelled train slid soundlessly down its lubricated flue in the earth" (Pg 3). This tells you that it takes place in a city because only big cities have subways.

Final Blogger Reflection

This blog is my best example of reading skills in my book Seal of God. In my best blog post I clearly show how I analyzed the characters. I found that in this book that Chad becomes a stronger and more respectable. He progresses for a selfish and self centered guy into a guy who is humble through God. A big influence in his change as a character is his mentor  who died before he went to Navy Seal training. He changes from a selfish, self centered, jerk into a humble, merciful, and forgivable person.

Some goals I have for next Trimester for reading is to read more books. I only read two books this trimester. Next trimester I will try to read around 5-6 books. I know it seems like a big jump for two to 6 but I think if I really try I will be able to reach my goal of 5-6. One goal I want to achieve in writing is to sit down one day and just free write for two full hours and see what I can create. I would love to see what I write in a two hours' time. One area I want to improve is to read more closely so I can soak up as much of the text as I can. One way I can try to achieve this is to read a little bit slower than I usually do. This way I can improve my understanding of the text. Finally one way I can improve my writing skills is to try to use more writing craft in my every day writing. For an example I could use more similes and metaphor.  Also i could use writing brushstrokes which can help me to switch up how my writing sounds so it's not always the same.
